Can we count on you to be a superhero today?
We all know that the pandemic has had a negative impact of our children’s education, but imagine the impact on Title I schools. Title I is a federal education program that supports low-income students throughout the nation. Funds are distributed to high-poverty schools, as determined by the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
These children, and their teachers, are in desperate need of school supplies year-round. Many of the teachers spend their money to buy these supplies for their students because the families simply cannot afford them. That is why Amazine Educators is changing its annual August school supply drive to a year-round event.
Because of the great need and number of Title 1 Schools in Peninsula, VA that are in need of supplies, we have a $20,000 goal for FY 2022.
